The workers at Google/Microsoft who are workers/foreigners are getting out of hand and need to be vetted.
Just received a threatening phone call on 02/21/2020 at 11:09 a.m from Dublin, Ohio, (614) 974 7663 posing as Microsoft to inform me t/hat my (license) internet would be taken away. It was a woman’s voice and she did not identify by name. I hung up and when I picked up the phone – it started a redial which I hung up again.
On February 8, 2020, while working on my Google site, I switched to my email address which is handled by Microsoft and as it was transferring from Google to Microsoft an alarm went off which was as loud as a security alarm and then a square notice posted saying that I must click on that spot which I didn’t and immediately went to the task manager and removed all sites and ran a scan with my security.
Thereafter, everything was clear with notation from my security. The net day I received a call from an oriental and hung up immediately and my caller ID indicated it was a scam call. Since then I have received one more call and have not spoken TO THEM due to the phone ID posting it as a scam call.
A friend said he experienced this same scenario on his computer but he clicked on that notice and then they stated it would cost $500 which he paid with a credit card and then after further discussion with his family they advised him to call the card company and cancel the debit which he did. IT WAS A SCAM.
Are Google and Microsoft involved in this – if not – they need to get involved since whoever your provider is getting a bad name with these ripe-off artists.
I would like to hear from Microsoft by email if they are the people who are calling and see something in writing instead of these threatening phone calls.
