Another year and another “Super Bowl” which reminds of the days of old where heavy players were kicking and falling and catching and pushing each other around until one team wins.
The two best teams who will be in the Super Bowl are the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49’ers which becomes an event to be reckoned with screaming Romans who are all shapes and sizes. The cost of tickets is another story which needs to be addressed. It looks like the tickets are more than ordinary folks would be able to pay. If you don’t have a ticket, the classified ads and scalpers at the game will offer them to you – and, even restaurants and bars offer food and drink for an elevated price to watch the game on their TV’s.
There are those special people who bought sky boxes or what they call “circle suites” don’t need a ticket for this private, enclosed box, heated, cooled and carpeted, including private bath rooms, kitchens, bars, big soft chairs in which to watch the game and even television for instant replays.
Playing the real estate game, if one of these cost $1 million – a box – 16×16 feet. That ends up costing $3,906.25 per square foot. Just think, you can build a first class house for about $125 per square foot. The above figures place this construction at a $117 per square foot cost, though the national average stands at $125. This pricing structure assumes that carpenters, masons and excavators charge an average of $70 per hour, electricians between $65 to $85 per hour, painters between $20 and $35 per hour and plumbers between $45 and $65 per hour. Prices seem low to me.
From the price listed for a sky box – it must be the most expensive real estate in the world in my eyes. But, there again, if you build a house and look out the front door – you can’t see the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49’ers playing which to some people has to be worth a few bucks.
For me, my sky box will be in my man’s cave and dinner being served with junk food on the side.
May be the best “team” win with a clean game and no childish behavior.
