Rep. Liz Cheney Wednesday slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as an “embarrassment” after the Democrat leader tweeted comments calling for an end to “needless provocations” against Iran from the Trump administration.
“She is suggesting a moral equivalence between the United States and Iran,” the Wyoming Republican told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends.” “Now in the wake of missiles raining down on service members in Iraq, Speaker Pelosi is saying that it was needless provocation on our part. She is blaming the United States of America…I’m surprised the Democratic Caucus continues to support her as their leader and Speaker of the House.”
Cheney pointed out that for “months and months,” Pelosi said it was urgent for national security to impeach President Donald Trump, “so the House Democrats impeached him with no direct evidence.”
“She has been literally sitting on the articles of impeachment ever since,” said Cheney. “It seems to not be urgent to impeach President Trump.”
Cheney, while commenting on the missile strikes and the Trump-ordered airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani last week, said the former Quds Forces leader was “clearly someone who had the blood of hundreds, if not thousands of American service members on his hands.”
Iran, she said, has believed it can “operate with impunity,” particularly after the Obama administration “actually paid the Iranians, paid them in U.S. taxpayer dollars. (Former Secretary of State) John Kerry was acting as if he were the Chamber of Commerce, trying to get people to invest in Iran.”
Trump has turned all that around with his maximum pressure campaign in Iran, said Cheney, and now she thinks “they understand we are serious…the president was absolutely right in taking the action that he took against Qassem Soleimani.”

Houston – we have a problem. The Democrats have been radicalized with “one” kiss.
