Texas Values – Stand up for Children

The time to act is now! On Monday, October 28th, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees plans to vote on the final approval of its new radical, hypersexualized sex education curriculum.

In a sign of things to come if this curriculum is passed, AISD recently welcomed a drag queen, convicted of prostitution, into one of its elementary schools. Parents have no reason to entrust their children to a school district that welcomes sex criminals and sexually explicit materials in the school.

Please join our friends at Texas Values in standing up for our children. It’s critically important that we have overwhelming opposition on Monday night!

Agenda / Actions:

1. Attend and testify at the Monday, October 28th AISD Board of Trustees Meeting. Join with parents, pastors & faith leaders, and concerned taxpayers as we stand against this radical curriculum. Here is the schedule for Monday:

– 7:45 AM: Sign up begins for Public Testimony online, by phone, or in person. To sign up by phone, call 512-414-4411. For online sign up, the link will be posted at 7:45 AM within the agenda found on Board Docs. The sex education curriculum is item 15.2 on the agenda. You must sign up by 3 PM on Monday afternoon to be able to speak at the meeting that evening. We need as many people as possible to sign up! Speakers will all have 1 minute.

– 4:00 PM: Join us as we host a Press Conference and Rally in the courtyard outside the board room.

– 7:00 PM: Board meeting starts and will likely go late into the evening.
2. Sign and share our petition against the curriculum at NoRadicalSexEd.com. Nearly 6,000 people have already signed!

3. Contact the AISD Board Members to encourage them to vote “no” on the curriculum. You can also click here to learn more about all AISD board members.

4. Watch and share a interactive video resource that has multiple videos from experts, concerned parents, and faith leaders to further equip you on the dangers of AISD’s proposed sex-ed curriculum.

5. Download and share our one-page summary. Continue to mobilize your church, family, and neighbors to inform everyone we can in Austin before Monday’s vote.
