Do you know people who are always late, no matter where they are going?  Yes, I have in the past.  Older persons always referred to them as, “they are even going to be late to their own funeral.

It is amazing how people easily people get distracted and  no matter how early they start dressing themselves to leave the house – at the last minute something always falls apart – which ends up making them late.

We had a friend who constantly complained about his wife being late.  He always tried to emphasize to her why this happened – because she never allowed at least thirty minutes for the unexpected.  He always stated that he was married to a person who is easily distracted – he knew her like a book.  Thank goodness – he was a patient man; but, sometimes he would sit in the car with the engine running – wondering why they were going to be late this time.

The friends always stated that this was not a habit – it was her stated goal to enter after the starting time when everyone was present so that she could make this GRAND ENTRANCE with all of her finery and be the center of attention.
