The storms in Texas and Florida should be a good example of the type of homes which should be built anywhere in the U.S. As we know, manufactured homes are a quick solution for people who are buying a lot and then installing one and calling it home and they are not cheap. From the looks of Florida and Texas – the loss of homes and the devastation was manufactured homes. My recommendation is – that these homes are useless in a storm, especially any category, and should be barred from use.
If you have ever inspected a manufactured home and the cost – they should be outlawed. The states should have stricter rules because they are no more than a cardboard box with a lot of nickels attached. People don’t realize they could have a home built for what they cost and sure would be a lot safer.
The states should take a look at this problem.
