Don’t know that I was allergic to poison ivy; but, I loved to worked out doors and help my Mother pull weeds and help with the yard. My worst case was horrible and I won’t ever forget the misery caused by this three leaf plant. In those days we did not have air-conditioning and the heat only exasperated the itching. The more you scratched the more it spread to other areas. The glory day was when it was over and you were free and clear. That is one road I don’t want to travel.
In fact, it reminds me of this song we sang that went along with poison ivy:
