GOLDEN GLOBES – RICH PEOPLE TALKING TO EACH OTHER

Fame fades and then fame is more corrosive than any thing else. The Golden Globe Awards turned into a political massacre.
What role was Streep playing last night – herself or one of her child roles? I do not attend any of her shows because she can’t seem to get the child actor out of her system. In her character roles she does an okay job because she copies and studies the person from A to Z; but, when she plays the part of a plain Jane she has a hard time shucking her own personal traits and just can’t seem to analyze each line and put her true feelings into them as that character.
What was not surprising was her railing against our President Elect Trump – playing out the Hollywood role to stay in competition with the foreign actors who are not citizens of this country but have permits to work in our country. Streep has to know that when she railed against PE Trump she is actually railing against the people who voted for PE Trump and the people who pay her salary by viewing the movies at the local theaters.
Meryl Streep slams Trump in emotional Golden Globes speech
By Jennifer Calfas
January 8, 2017
Actress Meryl Streep delivered an emotional speech railing against President-elect Donald Trump — though never mentioning him by name — while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 74th annual Golden Globes on Sunday.
The iconic actress referred to the time Trump imitated a disabled New York Times reporter on the campaign trail and said that particular, real-life performance broke her heart.
(Streep has to understand, even though this man is disabled, this Times reporter put himself in the position of a reporter and, secondly, put himself as fair game when he criticized Trump. Wonder why Streep felt the disabled man should be put in a special box and not be rebuked for his report? If so, why did she think the reporter should be able to defame someone?)
“But there was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good — there was nothing good about it — but it was effective and did its job,” Streep said of Trump’s imitation of reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has a congenital condition affecting the joints. “It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth.”
“It was that moment, when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter — someone he out-ranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back,” she continued. “It kind of broke my heart when I saw it, and I still can’t get it out of my head because it wasn’t in a movie; it was in real life.”
(Now what role did Streep play with those two paragraphs – because she played it well.)
“This instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform — by someone powerful — it filters down into everybody’s life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose,” Streep said.
(If PE Trump humiliated – Streep is doing the same thing – she is rich and humiliating the country’s highest office – the American people.)
She then called on the media to use its agency to hold powerful people accountable.
“We need the principled press to hold power to account, to call them on the carpet for every outrage,” Streep said. “That’s why our founders enshrined the press and its freedoms in our Constitution. So I only ask the famously well-heeled Hollywood foreign press and all of us in our community to join us in supporting the Committee to Protect Journalists, and we’re going to need us going forward and they’ll need us to safeguard the truth.”
(Now the last paragraph is true hypocrisy – she says the “principled press.” what principled press. Then she speaks of the well-heeled Hollywood foreign press who are not American citizens, do not vote. and do not have American values – their values are not accepted in the U.S.)
Streep echoed actor Hugh Laurie, who earlier in the night joked there would be no more Golden Globes if Trump has his way.
(From what I have seen so far Streep is making up that “there would be no more Golden Globes if Trump has his way – Streep is making this up.)
“You and all of us in this room belong to the most vilified segments of society right now. Think about it: Hollywood, foreigners and the press,” Streep said.
She proceeded to mention several actors in the room who were born outside the United States.
“Hollywood is crawling with foreigners and if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and the mixed martial arts — which are not the arts,” Streep said.
(Why is Hollywood crawling with foreigners – these people do not have American values – why don’t we have movie stars and producers who are American? Foreigners have taken over Hollywood and we need to run them out on a rail. That is the problem with our movies which are made by foreigners who are communist liberals. They come to America, make all of this American money, and then criticize Americans. That is the problem with Hollywood – too many foreigners. Time to take Hollywood back.)
She grew emotional when she honored “Star Wars” actress Carrie Fisher, who died last month, in the last moments of her speech.
“As my friend, the dear departed Princess Leia said to me once: Take your broken heart, make it into art.”
Streep’s speech ended with a standing ovation — the first of the night, according to reports on Twitter.
(What a sad state of affairs when people stand for someone who supported Hillary Clinton, a liar and a terrible candidate.)
During Trump’s presidential campaign, Streep dressed up like the GOP nominee during a Shakespeare in the Park performance, complete with orange foundation and floppy hair. Streep endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.
(Again, Streep supported a liar and a terrible candidate.)
(My advice to Streep: SHUT UP AND SING.)

Meryl…….if the press and DOJ held the powerful accountable as you plead them to do, your princess Hillary R. Clinton and Billy would be in prison!! I would agree with you on that…..but like everything Hollywood you only want an ending that you want to see. Everything Meryl is fake………..
