Democrats Attack Trump’s HUD Choice, Ben Carson, As ‘Disturbingly Unqualified’

Did Pelosi and Schumer think Obama was qualified to be the leader of the free world with no prior experience? And, my dears, look at us now!

Why  are the Democratic Communist Party, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi constantly criticizing every person that Donald Trump has selected to be in his cabinet, especially Ben Carson.  Are they being racists?.

Pelosi and Schumer have to realize that:

“they have to vote on Carson and the others before they can find out what’s in their resume’”.  Isn’t that what Pelosi and Schumer told the American people when they rammed Obamacare down our throats?

For Republicans and conservatives, nothing exemplifies government overreach and arrogance more than those 16 words, uttered by then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at the Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties in March 2010.

Those ten seconds were immortalized.

Fourteen days after Pelosi’s speech, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, a law that was passed with not one Republican vote.

And now those words will haunt Pelosi and Schumer.

Again, did Pelosi and Schumer think Obama was qualified to be the leader of the free world with no prior experience?  And, my dears, look at us now!

Democrats Attack Trump’s HUD Choice, Ben Carson, As ‘Disturbingly Unqualified’

Incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. slammed President-elect Donald Trump for selecting former GOP presidential candidate and retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson as his secretary of housing and urban development, a report from Western Journalism said on Tuesday.

“I have serious concerns about Dr. Carson’s lack of expertise and experience in dealing with housing issues. Someone who is as anti-government as him is a strange fit for Housing secretary, to say the least,” Schumer said in a statement.
“Americans deserve to know that their potential HUD Secretary is well versed in housing policy and has a vision for federal housing programs that meets the needs of Americans across the country and seeks to provide access to those that we haven’t reached already,” he added.

Carson’s nomination came as Trump lauded him for his dedication in helping the Americans.

“Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities,” Trump said in a statement. “We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including our inner cities. Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a Presidency representing all Americans.”

Apart from Schumer, other Democrat lawmakers have also voiced out their criticisms on Trump’s nomination.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi of California described Carson as a “disconcerting and disturbingly unqualified choice.”

“Our country deserves a HUD Secretary with the relevant experience to protect the rights of homeowners and renters, particularly in low income and minority communities, and to ensure that everyone in our country can have access to safe and affordable housing without facing discrimination or homelessness,” Pelosi said.

Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland branded Carson as “woefully unqualified,” while Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown said Carson’s nomination “raises real questions.”

Meanwhile, on November 23, Carson wrote on his Facebook: “After serious discussions with the Trump transition team, I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly to making our inner cities great for everyone.”

“We have much work to do in strengthening every aspect of our nation and ensuring that both our physical infrastructure and our spiritual infrastructure is solid. An announcement is forthcoming about my role in helping to make America great again,” he added.
