Obama urges MORE angry protests

Since President-elect Donald Trump won the election, protests and riots have erupted across the nation. Trump supporters have been savagely attacked for their pride in their candidate, rioters have caused property damages, and police officers have been physically attacked while attempting to maintain law and order.

It’s no question that these protests are causing further divide in our nation –and now the man who is supposed to be promoting peace and unity is encouraging the unrest.

Speaking at a press conference in Germany Thursday, President Barack Obama addressed the protesters and encouraged them, saying, “I wouldn’t advise them to be silent.”

Trump’s campaign has repeatedly called on Obama to address the turmoil ever since the protests in Portland over the weekend turned into violent riots.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox News earlier in the week, “I am calling for responsibility and decency. I hope President Obama says, “Cut it out.”

But instead he said the opposite.

During his speech, Obama emphasized, “voting matters, organizing matters and being informed on the issues matter.”

He encouraged young people to, “not take for granted our systems of government and our way of life.”

These statements further prove how out of touch he truly is.

The protesters haven’t displayed any consideration of being organized, informed, or respecting our systems of government. The Horn News reported Tuesday that majority of them didn’t even vote.

With Obama’s encouragement, protests will likely continue further disrespecting the entire election process and threatening not just law and order, but the brave officers who risk their lives to ensure it.
