From past experience, Storm Ike, it is best to leave the area which is being attacked. Ike rose to 17 feet of water in our home in Crystal Beach, TX.  The bottom floor was completely wiped out.  It could have been worse because only our side of the town was saved.The rest of the beach side was completely demolished.  You talk about praying that day and night – we did.  The storm, in fact,  initially was headed for a direct hit to our house and right before it made a slight turn and only side-swiped our home.  We both attribute the turn by God’s help.  That is only one of the many times in my life time that I have experienced God’s intervention.

If you don’t believe it – try thanking God each day when you wake up that you have been given another day of life.
