An insistent protester at a Hillary Clinton rally in Cleveland on Thursday was suddenly quieted by the words of Vice President Joe Biden. “My friends died, my American friends,” the heckler shouted, expressing frustration over U.S. policy in Syria.
The crowd tried to defuse the tension by shouting “Hillary!” but the man continued to holler “My friend died” as he was pushing Biden to explain why the United States is insisting that Kurdish allies withdrawal from captured ISIS territory to gain U.S. support.
Mr. Biden finally responded after the man shouted “My friend died” for the third time. “Will you listen?,” the vice president said. “So did my son, OK?” Beau Biden served in the military.
Joe Biden quiets protester with four words; but, sorry for your son Joe; but the heckler’s friends died in the war. Your son had cancer. Unrelated!
Now give the young heckler an explanation, Joe!
