Amen!  Working in a large corporation, every so many years the organization had what we called musical chairs whereby new leaders were shipped in.  Our purpose when this happened was to feel out the new leader, see how he would lead, and then adjust to his leadership style.

Paul Ryan did what every corporation tells you is the worst mistake you can make in any business – is to buck the new system – even in government.  Why would Paul Ryan make this terrible mistake?  He was voted in by his state – not the whole country. His ego certainly got in the way or he thought he was bigger than the people of the country. It is time for him to step down and turn his reins over to someone who can help the person who the country has elected and help him go forward.

It is like Ryan doesn’t want to put on the tux and go to the dance.  He has to realize the dance card has been filled and his name is on the top of the card and if he can’t dance the tango – then either he takes some quick lessons or  another analogy is fish or cut bait.

A good description is Paul Ryan is standing in a good fishing spot, holding a fishing rod, but NOT fishing. Instead of being involved, he is just standing there, taking up space and keeping OTHERS from fishing.

By extension, it describes a person who cannot make up his mind, who wastes time, and who gets in the way and keeps others from doing their jobs or making the most of opportunities.

So Ryan either fish or cut bait.
