KOMMONSENTSJANE – KASICH GONE FULL LIBERAL

Ohio Governor John Kasich  announces that he is a liberal in a Republican suit.. Awhhh – who would have thunk it?  He finally came clean.

Kasich keeps telling America that the  liberal polls and media say, he is the only Republican who can beat Clinton and that is why he is staying in the race instead of dropping out because even though he hasn’t won any state except his state – he feels that he will be hand-picked to be the walk-on, fresh face president  by Paul Ryan and his committee – who will be in charge of the convention because Soros says so.

Gov, Kasich has already been mathematically eliminated and soon, the same will happen to Sen. Cruz.

That said, Gov Kasich continues on, lingering in the race, hoping to win at the convention and claiming he should be selected because he believes the polls show that he does better against Democrats than his fellow Republican candidates.

This argument makes no sense. It would be as if one decided to substitute the winner of the American League pennant in the World Series with the team which came in third place because the third place team looks better on paper against the National League champion.

The real and fair world, whether it be with respect to sports or politics, simply should not work this way.

You win or lose on the field or at the ballot box. It is OK to play as a spoiler, as many teams do to effect the final standings, but if that is your goal you should acknowledge it.

The Republican National Committee and insiders argue that their rules are their rules. Therefore, it is OK to ignore the results on the field.

No, voters vote in good faith. They believe they are voting for candidates, not local delegates who can alter the real final score with their own personal preference.

Working party officials, much like coaches work referees is acceptable. Sen. Cruz is doing exactly this.

But once a state votes and the results are in, the candidate who wins the most votes should be awarded the most delegates. Even more important, voters should be allowed to participate in every manner throughout the process.

A situation like Colorado, where party officials changed the rules to exclude voting is akin to a rainout that was never rescheduled or played. A game in which the umpires, not the players, decide the result.

The reality is that what seems to be going on is that certain party insiders and the party establishment do not like the results they are watching unfold on the field.

They do not like what they see on the scoreboard, and they definitely do not like the standings.

They do not like seeing Donald Trump on top.

However, just as in the world of sports, a level playing field is required in the world of politics.

The winner should be decided on the field by the voters. Not by a flawed system that disenfranchises citizens.

Ohio Governor John Kasich, a favorite among establishment Republicans, is expected to finish 2nd in the New York primary – ahead of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
And while Kasich is determined to fight this to the convention, he just made a shocking move: Kasich has gone “full liberal!”

We had our doubts all along about Kasich, as he did fight to implement Obamacare in the Buckeye State. But now, Kasich – displaying his famously short temper – just told millions of Christian voters that he doesn’t need their vote. That’s why he announced he would oppose religious freedom laws, such as the ones recently passed in North Carolina and Mississippi.

This is outrageous, especially considering this man thinks he’s running for President… as a Republican!

John Kasich said Sunday that people who favor laws allowing businesses not to serve gay couples need to “calm down” and “get over” their opposition to lifestyles that differ from their own.

“What I’d like to say is, just relax,” Kasich said on CNN. “If you don’t like what somebody’s doing, pray for them, and if you feel as though somebody is doing something wrong against you, can you just for a second get over it? You know?”

Kasich’s comments were a reply to a question about his harsh reaction to Mississippi’s new law that allows companies not to serve gay couples. Last week, Kasich asked “What the hell are we doing in this country?” in reaction to that law.

As Rep. Allen West explains, Christian conservatives have much to be angry about, and Kasich is only hurting their cause:

First of all, I think it’s rather dismissive of Governor Kasich to tell folks who are losing their businesses and being the victims of punitive fines by states to “calm down.” I recommend the governor speak with Melissa and Aaron Klein of Sweet Cakes bakery in Oregon to ascertain what’s happening. Or he can speak with the florist in Seattle or the portrait studio owner in New Mexico, or the pizzeria owner in Indiana — all small business owners, all Christians.

These are Christian business owners who have not refused service to homosexuals, they’ve declined to participate in a specific ceremony due to their religious beliefs. This is no different than a government that takes businesses and organizations such as Hobby Lobby or Little Sisters of the Poor to court in an attempt to force, intimidate, coerce, or fine them for their religious convictions and beliefs.

We’re now in a state of existence in America where the government – i.e man — creates rights based on special interest groups – i.e. same sex marriage. The decision in Obergefell vs Hodges resulted in five unelected jurists, two of which should have recused themselves, redefining marriage and in turn redefining the First Amendment right of freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof.

Too often, government is granting special rights to minority groups while tramping on the rights of others. America’s First Amendment is all about protecting religious liberty, and it’s essential for our leaders to defend the rights of Christians… not dismiss them.

During the past 8 years of Obama’s administration, the Bill of Rights has been trampled on. Yet, Kasich is telling conservatives to “calm down.” What type of leadership is that?

What do you think about Kasich’s decision to go “full liberal?”

This tells me everything I want to know – he didn’t have to tell me he was a liberal – it was very evident in all of his campaign speeches.
