Why Paul Ryan’s Ode To Civility Is A Giant Fail
By: Ben Shapiro

March 23, 2016

The following article by Ben Shapiro is telling the American people that they are stupid because they want a business man and not a politician/lawyer as the leader.  Shapiro refers to the level of discourse that Trump is using to address the people.  Shapiro sounds like a snob.  Shapiro doesn’t understand the levels of people that Trump is reaching with his discourse – not just the intelligentsia of Shapiro.  I know Shapiro does not like Trump to begin with and is trying to hit on the people through Paul Ryan.

I agree with Shapiro about Paul Ryan with the exception of his use of the word “beloved.”  I believe that “left the building some time ago.”  The next time Shapiro writes don’t use a hammer when you need a screw driver.

On Wednesday, beloved establishment figure House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) gave a speech essentially deriding Donald Trump’s brand of politics. Speaking about the House Ways and Means Committee, Ryan stated, “[W]e always held ourselves to a higher standard of decorum. We treated each other with respect. We disagreed – often fiercely so – but we disagreed without disagreeable…it almost sounds like I’m speaking of another time, doesn’t it? It sounds like a scene unfamiliar to your generation.”

Ryan continued in sepia tones:

Looking around at what’s taking place in politics today, it is easy to get disheartened. How many of you find yourself just shaking your head at what you see from both sides?… Our political discourse—both the kind we see on TV and the kind we experience among each other—did not use to be this bad and it does not have to be this way. Now, a little skepticism is healthy. But when people distrust politics, they come to distrust institutions. They lose faith in their government, and the future too. We can acknowledge this. But we don’t have to accept it. And we cannot enable it either.

It’s airbrushed nonsense like this that leads conservatives to bid a hale and hearty “screw you” to the establishment – the people who tut-tut vulgar language but then cut deals with Democrats that invade the rights and privileges of the American people. People ought to distrust politics. They ought to distrust government. The founders distrusted both politicians and government so much that they rebelled violently against it when it wasn’t sufficiently representative. The entire founding system was designed to pit interests against one another, to generate conflict rather than alleviating it. Most Americans aren’t particularly worried about the tone of their politicians – we’re far more worried about them cutting deals that infringe upon our God-given rights.

Kommonsentsjane speaks:

Now, let’s talk about cutting deals and why the American people are fed up with both sides – Republicans and Democrats.  Just take a look at the following disgrace that these politicians put on the American people and you think they shouldn’t be mad as hell?  All of the money they have wasted and the money  these Congressman and Senators have received as bribes and none of this is done to favor the American people.  Do you think they are going to listen to Paul Ryan when he received a $2.4 million to vote Nay?

KOMMONSENTSJANE – WHY AMERICANS ARE MAD AS HELL

Posted on March 17, 2016

Kommonsentsjane – Time for Revenge – Vote for Trump – We have to Take America Back with His Help.

Subject: Americans are Mad as Hell and Are not Going to Take it any Longer

Now if our representatives will read the following – it will certainly explain to those “intelligentsia” in Washington why the American people have had enough of their greed and why they are mad as hell and are not going to take it any longer.

The biggest factor of why Seniors and the rest of America are mad and are losing more and more benefits is they are getting blamed for the country going broke. It’s easy to dismiss individual programs that benefit non-citizens until they’re put together and this picture emerges. Someone did a lot of research to put together all of this data. Often these programs are buried within other programs making them difficult to find. This is a real eye-opener.

Why is the U.S.A. bankrupt? The following data will explained why. Everyone must read this.

We have been hammered with the propaganda that it was the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us. I hope the following 11 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the readers gets sick of reading them. I also have included the URL’s for verification of all the following facts.

1.11 billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal immigrants each year by state governments.

The total cost is a whopping $ 338.3 billion a year; and, if you are like me, you are having trouble understanding this amount of money which would be enough to stimulate the economy for the citizens of this country. Are we that stupid for allowing those in the U.S. Congress to get away with doing this year after year? If this doesn’t make you mad, just delete the message. If on the other hand it raises the hair on the back of your neck, I hope you forward it to every legal resident in the United States.

AND THEN, AND THEN – LEGALIZED BRIBERY

KOMMONSENTSJANE -THE TRADE PROMOTION AUTHORITY VOTE PAID HIGH DOLLARS FOR YAY VOTE

Posted on March 23, 2016 by blogkommonsents

The rest of the story – following is why good deals ARE NOT made for the American people. That is what Donald Trump will stop – the corruption in our government. Following will explain why. That is why the Elites don’t want Trump elected – they would stop getting their candy.

Almost $200 Million Donated To Representatives To Pass TPA.

By Paola Casale

June 23, 2015 “Information Clearing House” – Many think our government is for sale. However, by taking a look at the facts below provided by the Open Secrets, it is easy to understand where they are coming from. Looking back at Friday the 12th, the House voted on Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), the controversial bill that gives power to the executive branch to negotiate treaties.

TPA limit’s Congress’ ability to better a trade deal by subjecting members of Congress to 90 days of reviewing the trade agreement, prohibiting any amendments on the implementing legislation, and giving them an up or down vote. TPA passed with a mere 219-211 vote with only 218 needed to pass.

The real shocker comes from the amount of money each Representative received for a yes vote.

In total, $197,869,145 was given to Representatives for a yes vote where as $23,065,231 was given in opposition.

•John Boehner (R-OH) received $5.3 million for a “yea” vote and was the highest paid legislator.(No wonder he hi-tailed it and retired before he got caught taking a bribe.)
•Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) received $2.4 million for his “yea” vote.

•Paul Ryan (R-WI) received $2.4 million for a “yea” vote and came in at the third highest paid legislator.

•Pat Tiberi (R-OH) follows Paul Ryan, coming in the fourth spot having received $1.6 million for his “yea” vote.

The fifth highest paid legislator is somewhat of a “hero” in comparison to others. Representative Steny Hoyer (D-MD) received $1.6 million for a yes vote and only $282,710 for a no vote. Despite of his high contribution from those in favor of TPA, he still voted a solid nay.

We also have other hero stories.
•Joe Crowley (D-NY) received 1.3 million for a “yea” vote and only $72,550 for a “nay” vote and he still voted against TPA.
•Patrick Murphy (D-FL) received 1.1 million for a “yea” vote and only $213,360 for a “nay” vote and still voted against it.
•Richard Neal D(MA) received $1.1 million for a “yea” vote and a mere $47,625 for a “nay” vote and still voted against it.

Democrats are not the only heroes in this voting session. GOP members spoke very loud and clear.
•Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) received $541,746 for a “yea” vote and no money at all for a “nay” vote and he still voted “nay!”
•Andy Harris (R-MD) received $254,803 for a “yea” vote and no money at all for a “nay” vote and he still voted “nay”.
•Thomas Massie (R-KY) received $250,328 for a “yea” vote and no money at all for a “nay” vote and he still voted “nay.”
•Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) received $180,832 for a “yea” vote and no money at all for a “nay vote” and she still voted “nay.”

Where did this kind of money come from? Those in favor of TPA were Security Brokers and Investment Companies who donated a whopping $11.3 million dollars for a “yea” vote. Or big banking companies who donated $10.1 million dollars. In other words, Wall Street hashed out millions and millions of dollars to push for the passage of TPA.

Those numbers are absolutely staggering. Corporations are taking control of what policies are approved or blocked in the U.S. We cannot sit around while corporations decide what is “good” for America or not! This is a democracy, not a plutocracy!

Contact your representatives and let them know that you do not want them to vote in favor of TPA!

See also – Corporations Win Again: Senate Passes Obamatrade Fast-Track Bill: Union leaders warn enabling Fast-Track prematurely would “compound its expected negative impacts, leaving U.S. workers in the lurch and depriving the U.S. manufacturing sector of vital tools necessary to combat unfair trade.”

It is this lot of shameless legislators who will distinguish themselves by “legislating” the obsolescence, redundancy and irrelevance of both the Congress and the Senate. It is no wonder that Congress members are in the single digits regarding their approval ratings among voters.

Well. There you have it – legalized bribery. You cannot call this by any other name. Corruption works too. Aren’t there laws against bribery of a politician?

The above two blogs is to prove a point to Shapiro as to why Americans are voting for Trump.  Do you think Shapiro gets the drift?

Now back to Shapiro’s article.

*****************************

But Ryan’s worried about tone.

I agree that Donald Trump’s tone is off-putting. I find third-grade rhetoric occasionally hilarious but galling after eight consistent months. But Trump’s real problem isn’t his tone, it’s the fact that he would utterly disdain the founders’ vision of government and humanity if he knew enough about it to comment. Trump’s identity politics isn’t just ugly because of its tone, it’s ugly because it suggests that Americans have group rights rather than individual rights, and that those group rights can be exercised at the expense of other groups. Trump’s constant lying isn’t a problem because it makes us distrust politicians – it’s a problem because we already distrust politicians, and as a non-politician, Trump is therefore allowed to skate on his lies.

Paul Ryan helps none of this. Donald Trump must be stopped because of his central beliefs (none) and his desire for power (total), not because he’s vulgar. That’s mildly troubling. But it’s Trumpism itself that must be fought, not Trump’s refusal to abide by Robert’s Rules of Order.

Just who does Shapiro think can do a better job?
