During the eleventh GOP debate, I was struck by the ferocity that Ted Cruz used when calling for the release of an off the record recording that the New York Times allegedly has between themselves and Donald Trump.

Not only, did Ted Cruz call for the release of this tape, but, so Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney in a speech that he made at 11:30 AM, prior to the debate.

The New York Times, has stated that there is nothing in this recording that would have any bearing on the Presidential race, as stated in an article by the Gateway Pundit: http://linkis.com/thegatewaypundit.com/enQi2 If Donald Trump were to permit the release of an ‘off the record’ conversation, this would set a precedent that would not bode well for journalists and reporters.
