KOMMONSENTSJANE – OBITUARY – THE AMERICAN DREAM DIES

Are we going to allow this to happen?

Following a long illness, the American Dream has died.  Born in Philadelphia in 1776, it was 239 years old and had been in declining health for many years (7 years of Obama’s time in office).  But while it was alive, the American Dream was the driving force that led the United States to the highest heights.  (And then Obama was elected the leader of the free world.)

Going Down to Their Level

This is how he wants us to live – like the rest of the world with terrorist in our midst.  That is the purpose of bringing in all of the refugees who are males between the ages of 20 to 40 (he calls them grannies and babies – lieing as he always does to get his way and all of the illegals from the southern border).

The American Dream’s purpose was personified and expressed by President Ronald Reagan, who said:  “The American Dream is not that every man must be level with every other man.  The American Dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intends he should become.”

Propelled, motivated and inspired by that simple  yet profound truth, millions of Americans since our nation’s birth dreamed big, aimed high, dug deep and achieved greatness.  It was the government’s job to provide the opportunity to succeed and step out-of-the-way and let it happen.  That was the animating spirit of the American Dream.

Given that freedom and the responsibility that accompanied it, generations of Americans became  builders and doers, inventors and innovators, church leaders and manufacturers, entertainers and athletes.  Driven by their own ambition and self-determination, they solved intractable problems and overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles.  It was their dynamic spirit that catapulted the United States of America into the forefront as the  most successful, prosperous and generous nation the world has ever known.

The beginning of the end for the American Dream came when Washington D.C., made the decision to replace opportunity with security and personal responsibility with government dependence.  From that instant onward, the American Dream began a precipitous decline.

World leaders came together for a “celebration of life” for the American Dream, but the mood was sullen and grim.  Said one longtime American ally, “The world will never be the same as it was….we have lost our guiding light.”

Leaving the service, a little girl spoke for a grieving nation when she asked, “WHAT DO WE DO NOW?”

My opinion as to what we do  next, everyone get off their lazy butts and do what you can to turn this ship around and change course.  Just because this lazy butt leader thinks everyone should go through life as he did and that is – not contributing one iota – he just let others carry the load.  We still have time if we elect Trump, who will change the course of this country.
