Illegal Alien Invasion?  They are  not welcome!!

The alien crime issue is bigger than “Sanctuary Cities.”

Thanks to Pres. Obama, our whole nation is one, big sanctuary for illegal aliens!

We can get the bill through Congress that will shut down this illegal alien crime wave…

…but we MUST have more help from our members to get the job done!

Ever since Pres. Obama took office, immigration enforcement has been neglected, undermined, sabotaged, dismantled, and very nearly ended. American citizens are paying for this — some with their lives.

NumbersUSA members often write me, saying that the wave of illegal aliens flooding into America is an “invasion.” Perhaps. But what kind of invasion is it if the government practically invites the invaders in?

Take Sanctuary Cities.

The outrage is that many major American cities, like San Francisco and New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and hundreds more welcome illegal aliens OFFICIALLY, and they REFUSE to turn most illegal aliens in their jails over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation. Instead, the Sanctuary Cities often just let criminal aliens back onto the streets after they’ve served their local jail time. They – let – them – go!

On July 1, San Francisco’s sheriff ordered the release of multiple felon, Mexican national Juan Lopez-Sanchez, back onto their streets, even though he had already been deported five times. Two months later he killed Kate Steinle in a tourist area of the city. Her murder sent shock waves through every level of American government. NumbersUSA can press Congress to stop the release of illegal aliens — but we need more members to back us up.

One thing that’s FAR LESS PUBLICIZED than Sanctuary Cities is the Obama Administration’s policies about the law-abiding cities. When law-abiding cities and counties DO call ICE, telling them that they’ve got illegal aliens to hand over, nothing happens. That’s because the Department of Homeland Securities (DHS) has ordered ICE to REFUSE to pick them up.

As a result, thousands of drug dealers, drunk drivers, thieves, and even some sex predators are returned to the streets when they’ve finished local jail time.

It gets even worse. The administration’s policies of letting detained illegal aliens go applies for thousands of criminal aliens already in federal custody. The feds have got them, but they don’t deport them.

ICE has released almost 70,000 convicted criminal aliens onto American streets in just the last two years. SEVENTY THOUSAND!! And the government reports that these released criminals aliens have committed 1,400 new crimes and more than 100 murders and other killings since their re-release!

Yes, Sanctuary Cities are releasing thousands of criminal aliens, but the federal government is releasing TENS OF THOUSANDS OF ALIEN CRIMINALS right in your backyard!

You see, we don’t have merely a Sanctuary Cities problem.
We’ve got a Sanctuary Nation crisis!

For years, NumbersUSA members have protested and called and faxed and lobbied to stop Sanctuary cities, counties and states. And we’ve been working overtime to expose and reverse the Obama Administration’s abandonment of illegal alien enforcement. With the recent tragic and very publicized murder in San Francisco, many in Congress have put forward bills to tackle one or more aspects of alien criminality.

But what will be done? Probably NOTHING.

The good news is that we now have a fantastic bill in Congress, the Davis-Oliver Act, introduced in the House by Rep. Trey Gowdy and in the Senate by Sen. Jeff Sessions. The Davis-Oliver Act will penalize Sanctuary Cities, probably forcing these rebellious localities to change their policies.

More than that, the Davis-Oliver Act requires states and localities to notify the federal government of inadmissible and removable aliens and comply with federal information requests and detainers. PLUS, the act allows state and local governments to enforce federal immigration laws.

This excellent bill has already been approved by the House Judiciary Committee, so it’s got a great chance, if . . .

We have two very major problems, however, in getting the Davis-Oliver Act passed by Congress.

First, the national press largely ignores — STILL — the illegal alien crime that makes the Davis-Oliver Act bill so critically necessary. (Politicians are hoping the issue goes away without them having to do anything.)

For a few more weeks, however, the politicians will still be condemning Sanctuary Cities and decrying the lack of immigration enforcement. EVEN the White House is pretending that it had nothing to do with it! Everyone is crying, “We must do something about it! We need to write a bill!”

As I mentioned,  we already HAVE the right bill, the Davis-Oliver Act.

We’ve already seen this movie. Unless NumbersUSA and our millions of activists bring enormous pressure right now, the moment will pass, and John Boehner will never call a vote. House and Senate leaders want it all to go away.

If we don’t do everything in our power right now, nothing will happen at all. And hundreds of Americans will continue to be the victims of hits and runs, stabbings, shootings, beatings, burglaries, sexual assaults, all at the hands of illegal aliens who are released into the the public by law enforcement.
