Remember back in January 2013, in the aftermath of the dreadful shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, when Obama unveiled a staggering 23 executive actions to launch his national gun control campaign and is still exploiting it today?  

The leader and his administration shamelessly latched on to the Sandy Hook tragedy to advance their anti-gun rights agenda — and they were aided by then New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who used some of his billions to bankroll anti-gun rights groups, including Mayors Against Illegal Guns.  Most troubling about this effort was that Obama used executive actions to push for gun control–a dangerous and disturbing pattern we’ve seen his administration employ time after time!  

Once again, however, Judicial Watch stood up for the U.S. Constitution and challenged this Obama gun-grab.  

First, we launched a barrage of FOIA requests at the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Transportation, Interior and Health and Human Services about the anti-gun task force headed by Vice-President Joe Biden, which devised the executive actions that Obama eventually signed.  We also filed FOIA requests for documents related to meetings between the Biden “task force” and Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization and other anti-gun rights groups.  

(And we discovered and publicized the facts that the Bloomberg group had placed publicly funded “regional coordinators” in mayors’ offices throughout the country to build more extensive networks of anti-gun rights activists in local governments.  This means taxpayers were being forced to subsidize their anti-gun agenda with tax dollars!)  

And just this past October, our investigations led us to file a lawsuit against the Obama Justice Department over documents related to another truly dangerous Obama program that directly threatens your gun rights – OPERATION CHOKE POINT.

It is disappointing to see Biden siding with this evil part of our government to harm the American people.  They try to make us think he is the “Crazy Uncle in the Closet.”  But, in the end he is a part of an evil culture that is trying to bring our country to its knees.  Sad, but true!
