America needs more jobs, not more foreign workers.  Help push Congress to vote on E-Verify for REAL reform, not more phony “high-tech” visas.

Despite Disney scandal, Congress prepares to expand Visa program.

Disney was recently caught red-handed firing 250 of its tech workers and replacing them with cheap foreign workers from India and other countries. The fired workers were forced to train their own replacements. But Disney didn’t get away with it. The New York Times and other papers wrote articles and we circulated a “post” (right) on Facebook that went viral — 15 million views so far!

Embarrassed, Disney has cancelled plans to fire an additional 35 workers — at least for now. But for countless other corporations, it’s business as usual.

Amazingly, Sen. Hatch (R-UT) wants to increase the number of these H-1B so-called “high-tech” visas and put more Americans out of work. Outrageous!

Instead of undermining American workers by helping greedy corporations, Congress should get to a REAL immigration issue… keeping illegal aliens from taking U.S. jobs.

Unfortunately, most industries don’t need to import new immigrants if they want to replace American workers because there are millions of illegal workers already here to take their place.

The House Judiciary Committee has already passed an excellent E-Verify bill, the Legal Workforce Act, which is endorsed by Numbers USA and business groups and is overwhelmingly popular among polled voters.

But it can’t become law unless Speaker Boehner brings it to the floor of the House for a vote, where we’re certain it would pass. We’ve got to keep the pressure on. We have to tell Congress that we don’t need expanded programs to help foreign workers take jobs away from Americans; we need Congress to pass the Legal Workforce Act, to make sure that the jobs we have go to American workers.

Passing E-Verify would be an unprecedented, huge victory for us. We would not only be stopping massive new levels of immigration, but once they can’t take Americans’ jobs, we could actually see millions of illegal immigrants who are already here go back home.
