Subject: Congressman Punished for Opposing Trade Deal

Mark Meadows has been stripped of his subcommittee chairmanship.

I thought only children were guilty of this type of leadership!  Boehner is not a leader, he is a typical rhino!

Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) was punished by House Republican leaders for voting against President Obama’s trade deal.

House Republican leaders have punished another conservative lawmaker for standing up for our principles.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has stripped Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) of his subcommittee chairmanship, just days after he defied his party’s leaders and voted against the trade deal they negotiated with President Obama.

Congressman Meadows was one of 34 conservatives who voted against the “rule” for the trade deal that provides the president with fast-track negotiating authority and expands Trade Adjustment Assistance – a liberal entitlement program that was added to win support from Democrats.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was upset because rules have traditionally been passed along party lines, but conservatives were right to oppose it. Speaker Boehner had split the bill into two parts and the rule was the only chance lawmakers had to vote against the entire deal.

GOP leaders are now seeking to punish one of their own members for fighting to stop a bad deal with President Obama.

Freedom-loving Americans need to fight back.

We need to work together to protect Congressman Meadows from the establishment’s attempt to weaken him AND we need to make this attack backfire so other lawmakers are not intimidated by similar tactics.

This is very important.

The Republican establishment is trying to make an example out of Congressman Meadows so other conservatives won’t fight to stop more deals with President Obama later this year.

Speaker Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) want to pass a massive highway bailout, raise the debt limit, and save Obamacare’s subsidies and mandates if the Supreme Court strikes them down.

Please show your disapproval with the GOP leadership’s liberal policies and attacks on conservatives by donating to Congressman Mark Meadows.

Congressman Meadows is an outstanding conservative leader who represents the 11th congressional district in western North Carolina.

He has an impressive 96% Liberty Score® from Conservative Review, and has helped fight against Obamacare funding, opposed the president’s illegal executive amnesty, and voted against John Boehner for Speaker.   (Boehner is the problem.)

This man is a leader and we need to defend him against these attacks.
