Why would Affleck in his own mind think he was responsible for his ancestors.  That shows how liberals think.  There is no room for thinking that he did not have anything to do with his ancestors and had no control of the past – so he lied and tried to bury it.  Goes to show you had shallow a liberal’s thinking is.  Or is this a Hollywood stunt to give more publicity to the movie and make more money?

Oscar-winning actor has slave-owning ancestor; so, accept it and move on!  The apology should be for ” bringing the ancestor out of the grave and trying to rebury the ancestor.”

Ben Affleck said Tuesday he regretted asking PBS to censor a documentary about his ancestors. “I didn’t want any television show about my family to include a guy who owned slaves. I was embarrassed. The very thought left a bad taste in my mouth,” Affleck said in a statement on his Facebook page. Affleck asked Harvard Scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. to leave out his slave-owning ancestor in an episode of “Finding Your Roots.”
