Photos:   Army preps for hurricane season in Beaumont port

As part of a drill, the U.S. Army loads trucks and sustenance cargo onto the LSV Gen. Frank Besson Jr. at the Port of Beaumont on Thursday. The exercise was conducted to simulate providing emergency response without prior notice.

Lt. Col. Charlie Fisher, Sgt. Maj. Eddie Camp and Sgt. 1st Class E.L. Craig speak to local media Wednesday about the U.S. Army’s exercise at the Port of Beaumont.

Yup – they are getting ready for a hurricane!
