As the seasons change, we always find out that Mother nature develops her own scenes on the landscape. We drive for miles just to view the beauty of the flowers such as the bluebonnets. But with the change, we sometimes have allergies and aches and pains which we blame on Mother nature. She has given us the common sense to use remedies that have been handed down through the years and might be something natural that you have right in your own home.
One thing that I hear people complain about is they are stressed out and having headaches. We know this is caused by clenching of the jaws and grinding of the teeth. One simple and easy remedy is only a hands reach away. Just reach for a pencil and put it between your teeth, but do not bite down. This causes you to relax and will ease the pain.
With daylight saving time, our spring schedules seem to be in an uproar because we forgot to turn the clocks up an hour and we find ourselves getting tired sooner. If you feel sleepy, try eating an apple to stay awake and it also helps to whiten your teeth. A good way to fight the yawns – set up a schedule to exercise each day. You don’t have to go to the gym. If you have stairs, just walk up the stairs a few times and it will get your heart rate going and help with the tiredness and puts you in a better mood.
Some other silly sounding things that work are if you have a cut – try sprinkling sugar on it and then apply a clean bandage. You can also apply tea bags on the top of the cut to stop the bleeding. How about for a bruise, try putting some lavender oil on it and watch as the healing time decreases. Or how about halitosis (bad breath) eat some yogurt and while you are at it put Listerine on a blister, a teaspoon of sugar can cure hiccups, and last but not least – suck on a lemon for motion sickness.
In the end, the most important thing to remember, never rely on home remedies to take the place of visiting your doctor if it is warranted!
