Remember, this is America! We always know when we have hit the nerve of the left, whether it is in Hollywood, the Socialist Democrats, or the enemy in foreign lands. They always start rolling in the mud. When the right tells the truth and starts making millions of dollars in the process, the pigs start squealing.
Clint Eastwood LOWERS THE BOOM on Left-Wing ‘American Sniper’ Critics.
The popular ‘American Sniper’ movie – which had the 2nd biggest weekend opening of any R-rated move in history – is causing heated discussions throughout America. It has been labeled a pro-war, pro-Republican propaganda film by left-wing movie critics. And don’t forget that Michael Moore and Seth Rogen have been under heavy criticism for saying Chris Kyle was a “coward” and comparing the movie to Nazi propaganda. And, don’t forget Howard Dean, who has since apologized to the vets.
Clint Eastwood is a conservative, and there is no doubt that he takes the subject of war seriously. His response to critics may surprise you.
Clint notes that ‘American Sniper’ is actually anti-war, as it shows just how devastating war is on our soldiers and their families:
The biggest antiwar statement any film [can make is to show] the fact of what [war] does to the family and the people who have to go back into civilian life like Chris Kyle did.”
“One of my favorite war movies that I’ve been involved with is Letters from Iwo Jima. And that was all about family, about being taken away from life, being sent someplace.” In World War II, everybody just sort of went home and got over it.
Now there is some effort to help people through it. In Chris Kyle’s case, no good deed went unpunished.”
In addition, Clint went to Texas with actor Bradley Cooper to meet with Kyle’s family:
“I thought I’d better meet the rest of the family and see what they looked like and that would probably dictate the casting and to see what Mrs. Kyle was like.
It was of great value to [Bradley] because he could get into the history of the family and their feelings about the whole situation.”
Well said, Clint! Conservatives don’t want war, and no one wants to send our brave men and women into harms way. War is hellish and miserable… And it’s worth avoiding if possible.
But there is evil in the world, and Chris Kyle dedicated his short life to eliminating as much of that evil as possible. And that’s why we honor his memory.
Following are some comments about this matter:
Michael Moore is an anti-American hypocrit. Our soldiers die to protect his right to make his anti-American films. Perhaps Moore should go to North Korea, Russia, or Iran and try making an anti-givernment film there. Wonder what his life expectancy would be?
Michael Moore is fading into obscurity and is no longer relevant. He is using his misguided comments to try to make a comeback.
As a veteran of Vietnam, I find this a relief to watch and share. Mr. Eastwood and his cast portray emotions and situations very few have felt or revealed of the conflict in a war. Physical, political, personal, professional, and longest lasting, emotional. Yes this was a “war” movie. Yes it showed brutal truths of war. We, Americans, need to see rather than experience what reality is like in a war. Maybe each side would work to prevent it more. My prayers are with Chief Kyle’s family. I hope other “heros” will be found who echo his efforts to restore veterans who still suffer from their experiences while protecting our nation’s future.
Completely support Chis and Taya Kyle! … It’s MEN like him who made our freedom from tyranny and oppression possible and it’s WOMEN like her who keep the homefires burning! … WELL DONE KYLE FAMILY!
I thought it was a great movie and it is will deserved for what he has done for us and for what he had sacrificed for us to me he was a great man and he deserves a lot of respect from everyone even from the stupid ass critics and i think Clint Eastwood did a great job with movie and i think it should’ve gone number1 not number 2
Love it when the lib cowards criticize movies like American Sniper, Most of them have NO idea what its like to be in the military…If they had, they’d realize that the only thing the military wants you to do is “better yourself” overall, regardless of where you wind up.. Killing isn’t the reason why you “enlist” But you know that you may have to depending on what your “job” is or what you volunteer for.. Therefor, you know that going in and you take responsibility for your actions… IF they understood this they wouldn’t be so quick to disparage a soldier or sailor. If society in general understood this we’d be in much better shape rather than divided as the left likes it I served in the Navy during Viet Nam (not in Viet Nam) but during a very racially divided country…I served with many blacks for example who I answered to and there wasn’t nothing but “respect” for each other This is what the service teaches you. But the libs will never admit it has a positive side..
I do not support Kyle, he started believing his own hype and lied about Ventura, for what reason I do not know. But I do know that in a court of law his lies were exposed as not true. If he would do that to a fellow brother in arms am I sure he really did all that is said he did?????? For all we know he was hyped to be a poster boy for some reason by the powers that be. Good movie enjoyed it but, support Eastwood and all he does, support Kyle’s service to his country, but can’t support this image of a hero. A true hero would have come clean and admitted he was wrong, for whatever reason he did it.
Tim I bet you’ve never been in a bar full of a bunch of drunker sailors. I have and everyone doesn’t see everything that happens, and I would guess that the ones who said it didn’t happen just wanted to kiss scruff’s ass
Chris is what keeps this world going strong, we need more men that are willing to walk the walk and less that talk the talk like Moore and Rogen, R.I.P. Chris and my thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. Clint and Bradley did a great job on this film.
I support Heroes like Chris Kyle and their families. My father was a Vietnam war Hero who sadly passed away due to the PTSD and other physical side effects suffered after the war. I’m glad he was able to leave four successful children in this world to carry on his legacy. I also support Mr. Eastwood. I think he made an incredible film. I didn’t find it to be the least bit political. The only political films I ever see are from the Left who have no idea what it’s like to live in the real world.
This is the most honest film I have ever seen. There is a lot of strong language and violence but none of it is there to shock you or to get a rating. The people in the film are portrayed just the way they are. NO fairytale here. It is one of the best war films made. By the way I am a 68 year old woman. I thank Mr. Eastwood for making a film that treats our military people with respect.
As a practicing Conservative Republican I do not support War, however, we have had wars since the beginning of time, down thru the ages. Ideological differences have separated us in our thinking so much so, we have resorted to violence. Our country throughout time has chosen to protect its citizens by keeping the notion of war on others shores so they do not invade our country, thus keeping us Free from war on our shores.
We US citizens need to study history and educate ourselves on this phenomena called War.
The ideological jackasses in our country are so lacking of education about history. They just like to bloviate, blah, blah, blah…
I think Mr. Eastwood and Mr. Kyle are HEROES in my eyes and in my heart. Mr. Eastwood is a quiet person, but does he have guts and glory!!! So missing in our lives…
Clint Eastwood has assured himself an important place in the US history by at least two works of art:
1) The American Sniper, and
2) His talk to the empty chair at the Republican Convention.
The left wants everyone to believe that Republicans and Conservatives just love war, but let’s look at some 20th Century wars shall we, and see who was in charge at the time; World War I – Woodrow Wilson, Democrat. World War II – Franklin D. Roosevelt, Democrat, Korean War – Harry S. Trueman, Democrat, Vietnam War – John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, Democrats…..and it took a Republican like Nixon to end that one. Who warned us about the “military-industrial complex” right before Vietnam got out of hand? That’s right, another Republican, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and if anyone knew about the horrors of war, it was him.
As an Iraq war vet myself I am proud that the movie highlighted the effects of PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) this is very real and affects not only the soilders coming home but the whole family indeed. War sucks that is for sure but we have an all volunteer military and the freedom to say what we want with out govenment punishment like many other countries do through out this world still today. Movies are Movies anyone with half a brain knows that the story was hyped up a bit to catch an audience but the fact is it was based on a true life event with true life people and feelings. I get if you don’t like / understand war that is fine. If you truely hate your Govenment and freedoms you have here today with in our borders please move to another country and don’t come back the ones who don’t move are the real cowards. I salute you Chris Kyle, the sevice men you saved on and off the feild, Thank You for your sevice! and Michael Moore along with his followers can suck it!
I will leave you with this song:
