Will Chris Christie Regret His Cowboy Hug? This guy is a hugger – so what is the deal? His greet is a man-hug. All of you sore losers need to get a grip on yourself and learn how to give a man-hug. It is good for the soul!

These sportswriters need to take a break and quit looking a gift horse in the mouth. They must follow this guy 24 hours a day – just trying to find something they can rag on. When they were criticizing all of the guys, after the Cowboy win, for celebrating by hugging – they should have asked the referees to throw a celebration flag. Why are these liberal guys so afraid of Christie? All Christie has to do is pay for the trip if that is the case. Give this guy a break.
Did Chris Christie’s trip to see Cowboys violate ethics code?
Jerry Jones paid for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to watch the Lions-Cowboys playoff game in Texas, and that may have violated New Jersey’s code of ethics for government officials.
According to the International Business Times, Jones paying for Christie’s ticket and travel expenses could be deemed as a gift.
Christie, who has been New Jersey’s governor since 2010, is considered a 2016 presidential candidate, but can’t seem to escape controversy. Whether it was the bridge scandal of 2013 or his recent trips to see the Cowboys, the Republican has been a controversial figure, and even more so because of his respect for President Barack Obama.
His latest brush with scandal looks worse because Christie has previously cut deals for the NFL. He gave the league tax breaks to secure the Super Bowl there last year. He then cited the state’s ethics rules to prevent other New Jersey officials from getting special access to game tickets.
The ethics rules prohibit government officials from accepting any gifts related to their “official duties.” And that’s what Christie’s staff is using as a defense, that he was not at the game as a New Jersey state official, but as a lifelong Cowboys fan and guest of the team owner.
“Governor Christie attended the game last night as a guest of Jerry Jones, who provided both the ticket and transportation at no expense to New Jersey taxpayers,” Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts told NJ.com.
The governor’s office also cited The Code of Conduct for the Governor, adopted under former Gov. Jim McGreevey, in Executive Order 77, which states the governor “may accept gifts, favors, services, gratuities, meals, lodging or travel expenses from relatives or personal friends that are paid for with personal funds.”
Sunday’s game was the third Cowboys game Christie has attended this season. He invited Jones to the Cowboys-Eagles game in Philadelphia as his guest.
