Yes, it is disgraceful!  And we need to ask our Congressmen why this is so!  Is it due to the Veterans Administration scandal or is it just due to the employees and their work ethics?  We need to check with our representatives and put pressure on them to correct this immediately.  A veteran should not have to wait a year to receive anything much less his or her benefits.  Something new should be initiated – the Veterans Administration should be in contact with employment agencies all over the countries and have a job, according to the ability of the veteran, waiting for him when he exits the service or at least an interview.   This is the kind of thanks we should give each and every service person and not just dump them out on the street.
