RUNNING OF THE BULLS

The game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat last night was exciting.  The thing I cannot understand is why all of the bad behavior on the court. The referees are all over the place; but, it seems they can’t see the forest for the trees.  Basketball has changed since high school days.  We could not lay a hand on the opponents.  If we did, a foul was called.  These people knock each other down like bowling balls and nobody says a peep.  Whatever happened to sportsmanship?  Is this what happens when money is involved – win at all cost – even if you injure someone for life?  Wouldn’t it be fun if you could put the whole game in slow motion; and, just about the time one of the players is going to pull a punch, you could stop the play and say, “now young man, is that what your mama taught you?”  Example was when Miami guard Mario Chalmers was driving with 6:43 left when he elbowed Parker in the midsection and getting called by the referee with a Flagrant-1 foul.  Do the coaches teach these “dirty” tactics when practicing? It sure looks like it – because it seems like there are more fouls in the last three minutes than the whole game because of the many deliberate foul interruptions.  When Wade stated, “we had to really FIGHT and make plays, that answered all of my questions.
