Now that the leader of the Veterans Administration (VA) has resigned, I wonder, will anything change?  The government’s wheels do not turn very fast because of the chain of command procedure.  When thinking about all of the VA hospitals in this country and the number of veterans needing care, it is mind-boggling.  If I were a veteran,  I would get a credit card from the VA or whatever it takes to get the care needed and move on with my health.  When I heard about the lists and the months and years that the veterans were put on a waiting list, I had never looked at a waiting list as a bad thing until now.  When I think about it, a waiting list is almost as bad as being rejected, especially if you never hear back.  If you were ill, needed help, and were put on a waiting list which was really a back-up list that never came forward, just think of the anxiety that would occur when you did not feel well.  All of these workers who were responsible for this cruel and inhumane punishment to the veterans need some serious jail time.
