On August 10, 2013, a blog was written by your host entitled, “The New White House University.” Now it looks like we had our first graduating class, the five terrorists (the worst of the worst) that were sent back to the battle grounds in exchange for our walk-on prisoner of war (POW).
Whoever was the deal maker in this arrangement must have had some influence on our leader – maybe it is one of the six New Muslim White House University czars. Or they must have been playing draw poker. In this game, each player is dealt five cards (terrorists), face down. After placing a bet, he is entitled to discard not more than three of his cards and draw the same number from the deck in an attempt to improve his hand. After all players have filled out their hands, the betting proceeds. It looks like our leader must have had the five terrorists cards and won this hand and, therefore, his decision to send them back home.
What we must know what were the stakes in this arrangement by our leader who facilitated this exchange without any authority from Congress. This exchange was not a deal, it was a clear case of malfeasance in the worst sense. They said our exchange POW’s health was deteriorating. Let’s see, he has been with the Taliban for five years! What about the health of the many other Americans who are in prison throughout the world? I am sure their health has been deteriorated many-fold. The whole tale in the nut’s shell is they wanted to release these five from the Guantanamo prison and this was an easy way to complete the transaction and reduce the number of people in that prison camp. Now the next step is to release the rest and let them go back to their mommy and the sand dunes. Thereafter, they will shut down the prison for lack of occupants.
Is anyone surprised – they recently released hardened prisoners on the streets of America. I am surprised they didn’t give these five citizenship papers, food, housing, and a monthly social security check. And, besides we have these scandals brewing with the leader of the Veterans Administration resigning and soldiers dying. This is just another add-on scandal they are trying to bury. Pretty soon we will be playing poker with the deck of scandal cards which these jokers are racking up. And, what is our Supreme Court and Congress doing – as usual – twiddling their thumbs trying to decide what to do.
I know the parents of this man and the community are anxiously awaiting the return of this young man. I know, if it were my son, I would want him back. With his disillusionment to begin with, the parents, the country, and the community have a long row to hoe. Just pray for this young man that he is not damaged to such a level it will be impossible to bring him back to reality.
