The highest office in the land? So what was he thinking? Here is a young women in his office totally obsessed with a married man who is the President of the United States and ten years later she has decided that, “my boss took advantage of me.” I have to look at it a little differently. How can this be if it is stated that “it was consensual sex.” Yes, it was consensual until the rubber hit the road and the facts which consisted of love, passion, curiosity, and novelty rose to the surface. Then the victim at that time was declared a tramp and thereafter her life was never the same. So, why does this “love” always end up being the fault of the woman? Does society dictate this and make it so? This man was in constant denial, the wife blamed herself and the other women and not her husband (the eternal cheater), and the other women will remain true to the very end even though she went through hell. So, I still want to know why is it always the woman’s fault? Oh, yes, society has branded this man – and he and his wife have moved on to bigger and better things and we snicker when someone mentions his name; but, seriously, this young woman should be commended in the manner in which she has handled this event, has moved on in life, has educated herself, and now is revisiting this event to let people know the manner in which she was treated by all involved. She made a mistake and so have other young girls who become obsessed by being associated with power. Let’s just hope that all of the participants in this story will try to handle the next step of this event by helping this young person up the ladder instead of trying to keep stepping on her. One day someone will come along, handsome, rich, and it will be her turn – and we will hear less of love being all passion, curiosity, and novelty. And those women who are trashing her now should walk in her shoes. I then believe the op-eds they are creating, alphabetically, for political discourse would tell a different story. To those liberal women who are not standing up for all women should remember everything that goes around comes back around to hit you squarely in between the eyes sooner or later.
