PICKIN’ AND GRININ’

What are toothpicks about?  We buy them!  They are more important to me than dental floss which the dentist recommends. The dentist tells us not to use toothpicks in our teeth. It seems though when I use dental floss I always pull off a cap and then have to go to the dentist and end up with a $90 bill to glue the cap back on.  I have learned that when I do use floss, I thread the tooth by pulling the floss down and then wiggle it around and pull it out rather than up. It seems to work better that way.  I do use toothpicks more than floss because you can poke it in tiny little places. Have you looked at yourself in the mirror when you are trying to place the floss in your tooth with your mouth wide open?  It looks like you are in pain to start with and it just seems so much more discrete when you use a toothpick.  Also, when you eat out and finish your meal the food in your teeth feels like a log jam.  So,  I always carry a toothpick in my purse;  and, besides, one of my friends might be in distress and need one.  By all means, use it, privately, and throw it away – don’t have it dangling in your mouth while walking.  But, my favorite is my Waterpik – because when you use a Waterpik you feel that you have so much power and can blast out whatever is encroaching your space.  And, the end result is – that your mouth feels so clean.
