What I do not like about hip hop music is the words they sing are not audible.  Which from what I understand,  it is a good thing!  The other part is the music has no definition and the people are making so much noise (which also is a good thing) and jumping up and down there is no way they can hear the music or the words (and that is the best part).  The only way I can understand the words is if they are captioned on the TV.  Where do rappers hear all of these words they use – surely not in their home or environment?  Whatever happened to the musicians like Nat King Cole, Whitney Houston, and Ray Charles?  I can still hear all of the orchestras with their violins in the background which will lull you to sleep.  I could go on and list many others whose music was so beautiful and soothing.  What do the musicians get out of using the words or lyrics that are so vile?  Does that give them a thrill to say those words?  I wonder if Beyoncé tucks her child in bed with the lyrics of some of her vile songs?  Such a waste of a beautiful voice and person’s persona.  Rap music is no more than porn.   It is chilling that innocent,  defenseless children are being exposed to this type of language at such a young age.   Music or jokes that demean a particular group of people, no matter how funny, have no place in polite society.  This music contributes to the general cheapening of life and the lowering of respect for our fellow human beings.  Oh, I know they are making a lot of money from this type of music.  But, parents, in the end,  are accountable for the type of music their children listen.
