Is the weather man or woman the new gate-keeper?  Each morning the weather people in Austin, Texas, review the day’s weather, plus give a synopsis for the week.  But, the fun part comes when he tells the people if it is raining to be sure and take their rain gear, umbrellas, do not dry fast, and do not text.  If it is sunny, the person tells them to be sure and drink enough water and don’t leave your pets or children in the car.  I wonder if he did not tell them to take all of these precautions if they would know to take these steps?
