The statement was “help bring our schools into the 21st century.”  Yes, I have to agree with that; but, first, you have to get rid of the corrupt unions, test all teachers for proficiency in their subject matter, rid the sanctity  of tenure, rid the social promotion, and have children and parents play a major role in the system.
