Reading the headlines where America sent in a couple of planes to airlift the Americans from South Sudan and four of our soldiers were severely injured from the gun fire as they were approaching the landing field – where were the fighter jets to escort these two planes into a hostile area? Is that asking too much or – are we still in this “at this stage – what does it matter program?” Whoever is planning for these missions for our young people certainly doesn’t look like they know what they are doing. The South Sudan leader stated, “it was just some renegade military soldiers.” As far as I am concerned – that is not a good answer! This business of fighting wars for the “hearts and minds” of these people has got to stop – these governments are corrupt and the sooner our government recognizes this the more young people we will save. Now the report from our leader – he is going to send in more military to South Sudan. Why – he has not cleaned up the messes he made in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, and Syria?
