My heart goes out to the people of South Africa for the loss of a gentle giant who fought for his people.  As we all know, Mandela was communist leaning, initially, but learned that this type of government suppressed his people and learned that democracy is best.  Some times it takes a government a long time to learn what is best for the people.  I hope this man’s long trek to learning will rub off on the people in America that socialism does not work.  The only reason that politicians want socialism is the power that comes with it.  In the end – letting the people (all colors) have freedom to work and run their country always works best.  Mandela was always amazed how many people of all colors participated in the American government and the dream.  So, I hope the present administration will take heed and get back to the politics of democracy and let go of the dictatorship dream.
