Returning home from an 85 degree temperature to one of 32 degrees was certainly a shock to my system. When we left for our trip the weather was warm and the plants were all bright green; but, when we returned and exited the airport it was freezing. Now it is a different story – winter has arrived and the landscape has a different kind of beauty, especially with the trees putting on its fur coats and the animal skins are forming a dark brown cover. I woke up late and saw the snow had fallen but did not stick to the ground because of the warmth of the earth but yet the roof tops were steeped with snow. The cozy room of the house and the smell of coffee brewing only makes you appreciate being back home. Then your mind drifts to all of the people in the world who do not have these comforts due to their dictatorial governments and you think why do these people have to live as they do with nothing and the dictators live in splendor. How does a country get into a dictatorship – how can one person cause so much havoc? Do you think when these dictators pass on – do they go to hell? Surely they do with all of the transgressions they have committed against people and the money they have squandered. Do the families of dictators love them? How could they? We must find a way to correct these injustices, especially in our own country.
