Just returned from the beach after a week of rest and reclamation. The beach is so much fun because everyone is in high spirits and we all have departed from the news of the daily grind of politics. Our first day back is getting organized in the house – unloading and storing our luggage, checking out the pantry and freezer, and posting a grocery list. Then the deck furniture is put in place and then we plop with a glass of wine. Neighbors are out and about, shouting their greetings, and checking out our health card. The water is sparkling, the wind is blowing, and the tide is coming in as to welcome us. The air seemed cool with a hint of fall. Now, one week of eat, drink, and be merry. A week to enjoy a family reunion and an open house at our relatives. What more could a person ask for – we left politics at home!
