If the atheists are so strong in their beliefs – why does a cross bother them – especially intersecting steel beams found in the rubble of the 9/11 terrorist attack? The definition of an atheist is a person who believes that there is no God! And, that is fine if that is what those people want to believe. As we all know they lost the fight about the steel beams and now they are taking this argument to a federal appeals court. They lost – but they won’t give up. These angry atheists claim the mere existence of the Ground Zero Cross is giving them “depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish. Doesn’t this sound ridiculous! If that is true, you have a right not to go to that area. No one is going to force you to look at the steel beams.
As the trial court correctly noted, these intersecting steel beams which were found in the rubble of the 9/11 terrorist attack are a historical artifact, not a constitutional violation. These beams really mean something to Americans whether the atheists like it or not. Were any of these atheists a victim of the 9/11 terrorist attack or did they work to rescue any of the survivors? I think these atheists have lost sight of one of the basic rights of Americans is freedom of religion. The Constitution is not an atheist manifesto. Their rumblings and discontent seem to indicate – that the atheist religion is the only one that counts. You are beginning to paint the same page that the terrorists paint. All Americans need to stand up and be counted against these malcontents!
