The government at the present time is handling our food stamp program through Xerox. A funny thing happened at the forum. It seems in Monroe, LA, the food stamp program at the Wal-Mart store had a two-hour food stamp – NO LIMIT glitch. The manager called the head management and their reply was “ring ’em up.” Observing the TV film, the people’s baskets were filled to the brim even though the store and the individuals knew what the limit should be for each card. By the time the bulk of the people arrived at the check-out counter, the error was corrected. Guess what, Wal-Mart had a lot of baskets full to the brim of food to be returned to the shelves. Whatever happened to personal responsibility for each of those people who were trying to scam the system even though it was the stores fault for encouraging the scam. If I were Wal-Marts, I would be looking for a new decision-making manager.
