Political parties are no better and no worse than their leaders. Political leaders commonly reflect the political morality of the rank and file of the party membership. It is true that there have been unfortunate alliances between various political machines and organized crime. When this happens it is largely because the citizens have neglected their civic duty of watching their representatives and of voting for good government. We must not confuse political parties with pressure groups. Pressure groups are associations of persons organized for the purpose of influencing public opinion and of persuading party members to take certain actions. The polling that groups take are used to influence people. It seems we have a lot of polling results going on every day. The people in the country are very upset with the direction of the country and the polls indicate this fact – whereby the leaders’ numbers and the Socialist Democratic party numbers are sinking. So beware of any poll results, especially from the Socialist Democratic party who has been very instrumental in deceiving the country at this time. During the last election, the numbers were so skewed it was laughable. The other problem is that the Republican Party has been infiltrated with a number of rhinos – people who pretend to be a Republican in order to carry out their own agenda. It is the people who have to recognize who these people are and make adjustments in their next election.
