It seems the Shutdown Cafe (White House) has even forced the people at Lake Mead, Nevada, who have summer homes there, to evacuate their homes and gave them 24 hours notice since they were shutting down the National Park. There are 60 families with vacation homes that own their homes but rent the land from the government ($2,400/year rent). The homes’ owners – from Stewarts Point on the north to Katherine’s Landing and Temple Bar on the South – were told they could not spend the nights there or barbecue during the day.
The local businesses call this a “government meltdown” not a government shutdown. And further replied, “if my kids acted this way, I would beat the crap out of them and send them to their room. It is time to slash entitlements and cut the debit. He said he wasn’t evacuated during the Clinton government shutdown.”
The bad part, it hurts the local businesses who depend on these people who have been run out of their own homes.
Since our administration is so fair, I bet they are going to prorate the rent for the land and send them a refund since they were run out.
