A Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration had some sad and frightening news to report to the American people.  It seems that $67 million is missing from the Obamacare “slush” fund.  Specifically, the IRS did not account for or attempt to quantify for approximately $67 million from the slush fund of indirect Obamacare costs incurred for fiscal years 2010 through 2012.  It was reported that the Americans for Tax Reform also found what it call “abuses of taxpayer funds in several other areas:  travel abuse and items that cannot be accounted for.”  The IRS’ reply was, “the slush fund has already been fully spent” – the IRS stated they will comply with the Inspector General’s recommendations – but the promise to do better is meaningless.    What is a slush fund – according to Webster’s it is “soft mud” or talk or writing that shows too much feeling in a weak or foolish way.  And, these are the people who are assigned to handle all of the private information of the American people involved with Obamacare????  Where is the accountability or the people who are responsible for the monitoring of this money?
