PUTIN PUTTING ON THE SQUEEZE

After mulling over President Putin’s op-ed there was a lot of truth in what he said about Syria and the bombing; but,  I, totally, disagreed with his statement,  about “American exceptionalism.”  It is hard for  President Putin to understand what exceptionalism is because the Russian children are not raised under those guidelines and it is sad.  He talks about God’s blessings and that God created us all equal – which is true.  But, God also gave everyone a brain and body to use wisely and grow.  In Russia, everything is run by the government which stifles innovation.  For example, look at Germany how it has progressed since the Berlin Wall fell.  Look how many years it was under the Russian rule and never progressed.  In 1944, Russia took over the political and cultural territory after World War II.  The brutality and meticulous manner in which this was done by crushing the Catholic Church – Christians, and the demonization of intellectuals.  Russia still controls the media and it is sad to watch the people spy on each other.   During our visit every step was monitored by a government official with the Russian guide.  The Russian people themselves were very gracious but you could tell they were uncomfortable and not at ease.

President Putin is an intelligent man and if he would just sit down and think about how  China, America, and Russia could help the whole world by all three countries working together to promote democracy instead of dictating to the people.  Working in unison they could rid the world of the muslim terrorists instead of Russia fighting America.  President Putin will be an old man before too long; but, he still has some time to try to work with the world to make people free instead of suppressing people and working with other dictators like Iran to further this agenda.  I pray that we could give President Putin a lesson in “exceptionalism.”  Just think how Russia could grow.
