As the poem states, “However troubled are the times, however great our fear, there is no cause to worry if we keep our thinking clear, etc.” Folks, I am afraid our leaders are not thinking clear. The Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons is horrific; but the U.S. must not support jihad in Syria. We are at war with al Qaeda and we must not help them. The Syrian rebels are affiliated with al Qaeda and other jihadist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, and have committed atrocities across the world, including Syria. They have murdered a Catholic priest and slaughtered civilians and regime prisoners. They have also attacked a Christian village even while Congress debated intervention, shelling nuns and other civilians. They have cut out and ate the hearts of their enemies and brazenly recorded it for the internet. Just wait for the United Nations to do their job. These people are not civilized as we found out in Iraq and Afghanistan – they are animals.
As the world turns their attention to Syria we cannot forget the plight of the Christians in Egypt. Footage has surfaced of the Muslim Brotherhood gangs burning churches and tearing crosses from church buildings – more than 100 churches have been destroyed. Would the world be outraged if Christians were to destroy mosques? Where is the same outrage when radical Muslims attack Christians. People of America – voice your outrage by calling your representative in Washington.
