Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Many women in growing up always want to remake themselves into some movie star rather than work with the qualities within themselves. My beautician has a plaque on her station that reads, “I am a beautician, not a magician.” We all know when God made humans he used certain characteristics like the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, color of our hair, and the pigment of our skin; but, the strange thing within these characteristics, no one looks the same. Take a long, hard look in the mirror and know yourself. Find out what is your true skin tone, the texture of your hair, the shape of your face, and the shape of your body and work around what is real and quit chasing rainbows. Don’t focus on an unrealistic person. Use the assets you have and the products of good hair and good makeup and in the end you will feel as wonderful as you look.
Always buy clothes that fit your body. Do not buy clothes that are too big to hide your body. If you are over weight, you can change that too. It takes work; but, the important thing is – being comfortable in your own skin and establishing your own personality and style. Don’t follow the pack be your own self and be an original – that is what God intended – for you to make your own way, being responsible for yourself and your decisions! In the end you will achieve complete “beatitude.”
