At the present time, we have 47.3 million people on food stamps alone.  This is a 6, 757 percent increase since the 1930’s.  How does a citizen of this country explain to its children that this administration has set up a hand-out mentality that cannot be sustained.  The numbers do not tell the whole story.  The states have figured out how to keep the numbers low by switching these people to disability.  In 1961, the main reason people were on disability was – heart disease and strokes.  Today, it is “back pain.”  In one town in Alabama 1 out of 4 people are on disability while other Americans are working two or 3 jobs just to make ends meet.  When the government’s piggy bank runs out of money, our leader has passed an executive order entitled,  “National Defense Resources Preparedness Act.”  It lets the government seize and redistribute food. I hope those people who are taking advantage of the food stamps and are really physically able to work would stop and rethink how they can help this country by refusing the program and go to work – any job.  We must all take control of the situation and do what we can since the government is out of control.
