All parents blaze a trail for their children as they are growing up.  We all want the best for our children.  We aspire for them a life of success as doctors, lawyers, NBA members, or NFL players.   When this doesn’t happen, parents wonder – where did we go wrong?  As is the case in the Zimmerman trial, I think the Martin parents did all they could; but, when children take the wrong road – parents are helpless.  It seems the news media have also taken the wrong road in this case by portraying this young man as an innocent victim when they are showing his pictures at the age of 12 years of age instead  of 17 years of age.   All parents stand behind their children and no parent wants their children to die – regardless of what happens to them – for example,  Bonnie and Clyde and the Jesse James brothers.  We just have to grapple with the truth and not let the media move that roadway of truth.
