I do not agree with Paula Deen and I forgive her; but, it seems all of those people who do not like Paula Deen are slathering her with finishing butter. All of this seems to arise from a deposition in which she was asked if she had ever used the “n” word and if she had suggested a planned slavery-themed wedding. She could have refused to answer but instead she told the truth. This type of wedding meant they would have hired black people to dress in tuxedos and women in maid attire to participate in the wedding. Today, it is referred to as “crisp professionalism.” In those days, it was called a job. So will all of the liberals now want them to stop showing “Gone With the Wind,” because they show the crisp professionalism of those people in the Tara household? Now, it seems a tuxedo depicts racism? I can remember my sisters both worked in earlier days in a place called a “cafe” and wore a uniform which was crisp. It was called a job! What do all of the illegals who work in the movie stars’ homes in Hollywood as maids, gardeners, and nannies wear? Are they considered slaves? It is a fact that none of us participated in that era.
